ST. LOUIS – Ron Kapellusch of Planes Moving & Storage, Cincinnati, Ohio; David Doba of Graham Moving & Storage Company, Burlington, Vt.; Charles Wolfe of Nassau World Wide Movers, West Babylon, N.Y.; and Kenneth MacDonald of McCollister’s Transportation Group, Burlington, N.J., were honored as United’s Van Operators of the Year.
Announcement of the recognition, conferred as part of van line’s annual awards program, was made by United CEO Richard H. McClure.
The honorees were among 8,400 eligible van operators. Kapellusch was recognized for achievement in United’s household goods continental fleet; Doba was recognized for achievement in United’s special services master lease/regional fleet, which transports high-value shipments, electronics, trade shows and special commodities; Wolfe was recognized for achievement in United’s household goods masters lease fleet; and MacDonald was recognized for achievement in
United’s special services continental fleet, which transports high-value shipments, electronics, trade shows and special commodities.
In the past year, Doba and MacDonald drove with no cargo claims, no preventable accidents, and no safety violations; Kapellusch drove with no cargo claims, no preventable accidents, no safety violations and achieved a 9.8 out of 10 overall customer rating; and Wolfe drove with low cargo claims, no preventable accidents, and no safety violations and achieved a 9.7 out of 10 overall customer rating.
