ST. LOUIS - Bliss Moving & Storage, El Paso, Texas, has been appointed an agent of United Van Lines, the nation's largest household goods transportation company. The appointment was announced by Steven J. Dawkins, executive vice president of United.
As a United Van Lines agent, Bliss Moving & Storage serves as a member of the largest moving and storage organization in the world, the American Movers & Storage Association, as well as the Southwest Movers Association. Bliss Moving & Storage manages local, regional, national and international residential and commercial moves with in-house certified moving consultants and dozens of vans, trucks, lift gate trucks, flat beds and long-haul tractors and trailers to handle any size load.
"As a United Van Lines agent, Bliss Moving & Storage will continue serving any move of any size to anywhere in the world," said Javier "Jay" Moguel, the company's vice president and general manager. He anticipates expanding sales staff and fleet census to meet the increased service demands for the nation's largest moving firm.
United Van Lines transports electronic equipment, trade show exhibits and displays, works of art, and specialized freight, in addition to household goods. United, with headquarters located in suburban St. Louis, maintains a network of 1,000 affiliated agencies in 135 countries around the world. Since 1992, United Van Lines has ranked as the nation's largest carrier, holding 30.7% of the market, nearly double the share of the second largest carrier, according to newly released Department of Transportation (DOT) Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
