Dawkins Promoted to Senior Executive Vice President of
Domestic Operations Services for UniGroup, Inc. |

ST. LOUIS - Steven J. Dawkins has been named senior executive vice president of domestic operations services for UniGroup, Inc., the parent company of United Van Lines, Mayflower Transit, and other transportation-related companies. The announcement was made by Richard H. McClure, president of UniGroup.
"We continually seek ways of more cost-effectively servicing all types of business and utilizing all available resources," said McClure. "Steve has demonstrated strong leadership skills and will bring a comprehensive knowledge of all segments of our business this new position. We are confident that he will help us achieve our business goals."
In his new capacity, Dawkins will oversee all of United and Mayflower's operations, including household goods and special products, which includes electronic equipment, trade show exhibits and displays, and specialized freight. Prior to this appointment, Dawkins served as executive vice president of household goods operations for the company. Dawkins has more than 30 years of progressive operational and managerial experience and has held senior executive positions within UniGroup for numerous years. In his new role, Dawkins will report to Patrick Larch, president of Transportation Services Group, an operating unit within UniGroup.
UniGroup, Inc., a $2 billion transportation and relocation services company based in suburban St. Louis, Mo., operates one of the largest privately owned trucking fleets in the United States. It also owns other subsidiaries that provide goods and services to professional movers.
