| Tom Duwel Named Vice President of Domestic Operations |

 ST. LOUIS – Tom Duwel has been named Vice President of Domestic Operations for UniGroup, Inc., the parent company of United Van Lines, Mayflower Transit, and other transportation-related companies. The announcement was made by Richard H. McClure, president and chief operating officer of UniGroup.
In his new capacity, Duwel will oversee transportation of interstate shipments for Mayflower Transit and United Van Lines, ensuring quality service levels for the companies’ customers in both the household goods and commodity (non-household goods) lines of business.
Duwel has 25 years experience in the moving and storage industry, including numerous leadership positions. Prior to this appointment, Duwel served as the Senior Director of Household Goods Operations for UniGroup. Before that, he served in commodities operations, international and logistics departments of UniGroup.
Duwel holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Ball State University, Muncie, Ind., and has served on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis chapter of the Better Business Bureau.
