ST. LOUIS - Dwan's Moving & Storage, St. Joseph, Mich., was awarded the Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce "Excellence in Customer Service" award for the period covering 2002 through November 2004. Dwan's Moving & Storage is an agent of United Van Lines, the nation's largest household goods transportation company.
The Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce presents the award to a company or organization that continually and consistently exceeds the customer's expectation. The Chamber represents more than 670 businesses.
Pat Moody, executive vice president of Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce, said that Dwan's was awarded the customer service award because the company's employees work together to ensure each move goes smoothly.
Dwan's Moving & Storage was founded in 1957, and currently has about 40 employees. In addition to household moving services, the company also provides warehouse storage, records management and storage for companies and other clients, and specialized transportation for items such as trade shows.
