Planes Incorporated, FOX19, and Infinity Broadcasting Collect Items for Hurricane Katrina Relief
  

CINCINNATI – On Sept. 1, Planes Incorporated, an agent of United Van Lines, joined together with FOX19 and Infinity Broadcasting to collect donations to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina on the U.S. Planes Moving & Storage Collects Items for Hurrican Katrina ReliefGulf Coast. Broadcasting live from the Meijer parking lot in Oakley, Ohio, local broadcast media encouraged people to bring much needed supplies.

Planes trailers were on site to be loaded with donations. Donated items included bottled water, baby formula, batteries, tarps, pet food, insect repellant and generators, all in immense quantities. Cash donations of $200,000 were also collected.

Six trailer loads of relief supplies were efficiently re-packed at the Planes facility in West Chester, Ohio, and drivers moved the donations to Biloxi, Miss., on Sept. 9. Travis Everly of Cincinnati radio station WKRQ rode with one of the trucks to give continuous updates of the trip.

A similar effort was successfully executed by Planes last year to help victims in Alabama and Florida. Planes is proud to be able to continually contribute to these relief efforts.
