Reynolds Transfer & Storage Helps Louisiana Family by Delivering a New Home

ST. LOUIS – Thanks to Reynolds Transfer & Storage Co., Inc., a Madison, Wis.-based United Van Lines agent, a family in Thibodeaux, La., was the recipient of a very special delivery.

Leila Southall and her four grandchildren have been living in a rundown trailer since Hurricane Katrina turned their lives upside down. Reynolds Transfer recently delivered a box to them – a box containing a new house.

Volunteers with Habitat for Humanity of Dane (Wisconsin) County and Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation hammered together the walls of a modular home that were inside the box. These walls will become Southall’s new home. The parts of the "home in a box" were loaded into a Reynolds Transfer & Storage moving van and were taken from Wisconsin to Louisiana.

The project is being paid for by the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation, which contributed $75,000 for the four-bedroom home.
