Jack Treier Moving and Storage, a Lancaster, Pa.-based United Van Lines agent, transported 2,000 pounds of instruments and uniforms for Pennsylvania students who participated in the Universal Star Performance Program at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla.
The William Penn Senior High School “Bearcat” Marching Band and United’s van traveled more than 1,110 miles to participate in the marching band competition.
To help with the complex logistics, Jack Treier donated its moving expertise and helped to turn dreams into reality for the band members. Jack Treier provided a truck and driver to expertly handle the band’s big move to Florida. The driver, Michael Radzik, spent five days on the road as part of the band family and helped to make possible what may be the highlight of many of the band members’ musical careers.
“Jack Treier’s contributions significantly reduced the cost of the trip for our students, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for some,” said Rod Meckley, director of bands for William Penn Senior High School.
