On the heels of Earth Day, United Van Lines agent Delaney Moving & Storage participated in the Link CNY Innovation Expo in Syracuse, N.Y., on April 26 in an effort to help support the development of sustainable environments. As the only professional mover involved in the expo, Delaney Moving & Storage exhibited a new straight truck available from the agency that meets updated emission standards and has improved fuel mileage. Delaney also displayed environmentally friendly Tyga-Boxes, which are made of plastic and can be reused up to 500 times when relocating or storing goods.

Link CNY welcomed more than 3,000 attendees throughout the day, which featured breakfast and luncheon speakers, breakout presentations, sustainability workshops and ongoing exhibits. The Delaney Moving & Storage exhibit allowed the public to peruse, ask questions and gather information about how to make moving a more environmentally conscious event.

Link CNY was organized by F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse, the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems and Mayor Matthew J. Driscoll, city of Syracuse. The expo focused on bringing together environmentally friendly innovations, business ventures and socially conscious agencies to showcase the industrial progress made by Upstate New York companies and organizations.
