Nine agent representatives of UniGroup, Inc., the parent company of United Van Lines and other transportation-related companies, have been elected to its  board of directors. Their election was announced by Richard H. McClure, president and chief operating officer of UniGroup.
Rick Smith, Corporate Moving Systems, Kent, Wash., was appointed to the 2007-2008 term on the board. Re-elected to two-year terms were David R. Harrison, Conlon Moving Systems, Seekonk, Mass.; Katherine Holman, Holman Moving Systems, New Castle, Del.; C. Darrell Horne, Horne Moving Systems, Inc., Raleigh, N.C.; David Corrigan, Corrigan Moving Systems, Farmington Hills, Mich.; Steve Herman, AAction Movers, Bismark, N.D.; Richard Anderson, Armstrong Moving & Storage, Austin, Texas; Bruce L. Dusenberry, Horizon Moving Systems, Tucson, Ariz.; Larry Smith, Glen Ellyn Storage Corp., Addison, Ill; and Larry Stanley, Merit Moving Systems, Inc., Los Angeles, Calif.
The nine were elected by fellow shareholders during the company’s annual meeting, held recently in St. Louis.
During its organizational meeting, the board chose its officers, electing H. Daniel McCollister, McCollister’s Transportation Group, Inc., Burlington, N.J., as chairman and chief executive officer; David Corrigan as vice chairman; and David Sabada, A-Mrazek Moving Systems, St. Louis, Mo., as secretary, and re-elected Steve Herman as treasurer.
UniGroup, Inc. is a $2.3 billion transportation and relocation services company with headquarters in suburban St. Louis, Mo. In addition to household goods carrier United Van Lines, UniGroup owns other subsidiaries that provide goods and services to professional movers.
