SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York, which is known for granting wishes to thousands of children with life-threatening medical conditions, had a wish of its own: To move into its new facility on 5005 Campuswood Dr. in East Syracuse.
Thanks to the support from local United Van Lines agent Delaney Moving & Storage, the Make-A-Wish’s dream came true, as the organization officially opened its doors on Thursday, April 26.
“Delaney Moving & Storage’s generosity in donating the move from AXA Towers to our current location was an extraordinary gift,” said Diane Kuppermann, president & CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York. “Their support has played an important, even critical, role in the success of our renovation and in keeping the project under budget. Because of this, we are able to make even more dreams come true for the children we serve.”
On April 24 and 25, Delaney successfully moved the foundation into its new location. The building was a gift from Michael J. Falcone and partners, and more than 75 companies and individuals who contributed more than $500,000 in materials, labor and services to its renovation.
