United Van Lines, the nation's largest household goods transportation company, has been awarded the 2007 Fleet Safety Award by the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA). This is the second year in a row, that United took home the top spot in the top mileage category (over 100 million fleet miles annually).

The Fleet Safety Award is given to four carriers (the top carrier in four different mileage categories) that demonstrate the best-weighted combination of the lowest Department of Transportation (DOT) recordable accident rate per million miles of vehicle operation, and the lowest vehicle and driver out-of-service rates.
