CORPORATE MOVING SYSTEMS HOLDS DIAPER DRIVE
United Agent Organizes Drive For Children’s Home Society of Washington

KENT, Wash. - “We need diapers.” Three simple words on the marquee in front of the Children’s Home Society of Washington (CHSW) motivated the team at Corporate Moving Systems in Kent, Wash., to help the organization meet their need and further their mission of providing safe and nurturing homes to children.

Corporate Moving Systems organized a drive to collect not only diapers, but also other needed items such as children’s shoes and clothing, school supplies, gas cards and grocery cards. After Corporate Moving Systems stepped in, the organization had so many generous donations that they had to change their marquee.

“This is an excellent way to get involved in our community as a company and as individuals,” said Toni Reed, move coordinator, who was one of the key organizers of the drive. “Our goals were to help our community by collecting and storing donations.”

CHSW is Washington’s largest statewide nonprofit children’s organization built on 112 years of experience and history. Each year, CHSW helps more than 36,000 children and their families in 30 different locations across our state, including Auburn, Kent, Tacoma and Seattle. The mission of CHSW is to develop healthy children, create strong families, build engaged communities and speak and advocate for children.

“Thank you so much for your efforts, generosity and support of Children's Home Society,” said Erin Stansbury of CHSW in a letter to Reed. “The drive you organized with your co-workers at United Van Lines yielded results far beyond our wildest dreams. The clothing, diapers, toys, books, etc. will impact countless families both at our Auburn CHSW office and at our North Seattle Family Center.

Even in these difficult economic times, it’s comforting to know that there are still people who are willing to step up and give to those who need it more than you and I. Thank you so much for the time you've dedicated to making this much appreciated donation happen for CHSW. Please also extend a big thank you to all those who joined with you to make this drive a success.”
