ST. LOUIS- UniGroup, Inc., parent company of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit, has named Paul Holway and Dotty Harness the Man and Woman of the Year for 2009. Richard McClure, president of UniGroup, presented the awards on March 24, 2010.
Fellow UniGroup associates selected Holway and Harness on the basis of professional performance and contributions to the achievement of corporate and department goals. The company has honored a Man and Woman of the Year annually since 1969.
Holway joined UniGroup in 2003 as a project manager. He has played an instrumental role in keeping UniGroup and its operating companies on the cutting-edge of technology. In Holway’s current position as an IT development manager, he worked with a team to develop Quotes-To-Go, a revolutionary, new quoting tool, for United and Mayflower.
Harness recently celebrated her 20-year service anniversary with UniGroup. She currently works as a lead technical support representative in the IT department. She and her co-workers answer more than 45,000 technical support calls from fellow associates each year.
