ADCO RELOCATES TO NEW FACILITY

BARRINGTON, Ill. – ADCO Van & Storage, a United agent, is relocating its facility to 820 Tek Drive in Crystal Lake, Ill., effective Monday, May 24. ADCO’s new facility is a modern furniture warehouse, which is equipped with state-of-the-art, fire-prevention devices to protect its customer’s belongings.

“We look forward to serving the moving and storage needs of Chicago-area residents for years to come,” ADCO President Larry Smith said.

ADCO Van & Storage has serviced the moving needs of families and companies for generations. Founded in 1918 as Gold Star Motor Service, the company primarily hauled rail freight to local merchants.

In 1957, ADCO was formed to concentrate on household goods moving and storage services as an agent for Mayflower and Gold Star concentrated on freight services. In 1967, the freight part of the business was sold. ADCO became an agent for United Van Lines in 1970.
