Director of Transport Solutions Charles Cunningham and Transportation Specialist Kathy Kelsey were named UniGroup Man and Woman of the Year for 2016, the company’s highest individual honor for employees. The announcement was made by UniGroup President Jim Powers. UniGroup is the parent company of United Van Lines and other logistics and transportation-related companies.
Recognizing a Man and Woman of the Year for their exceptional contributions is a long-standing tradition at UniGroup. Associates are selected based on outstanding job performance, strong relational skills and excellent results.
Cunningham joined UniGroup in 2009 in the Customer Care Center and has held a variety of positions in Domestic Household Goods Operations over the past seven years. Earlier this year, he was promoted to director. Cunningham is described as the kind of leader who makes people want to work together and try new things to achieve greatness. His ability to lead and motivate others make him one of UniGroup’s best resources.
Kelsey started her career at UniGroup in 1978 as a seasonal employee and has worked in various Claims and Operations roles during her tenure with the company. She is well respected by agents, van operators and fellow associates for her positive attitude and constant professionalism. She has gained unparalleled knowledge of the business, which she is always willing to share. Kelsey is also known for demonstrating a willingness to embrace change and will play a key role in helping UniGroup create the future.
