Everything packed in a box came through in excellent shape. Nothing of significance was lost in the interstate move. However, things wrapped in blankets were damaged, probably not on the initial truck, but in loading and unloading at storage. The crates that arrived at the destination were poorly packed and further damage would have occurred if not for some heroic efforts by one of the unpackers who had to hold a wooden crate panel up until help came or the contents would have spilled all over the sidewalk and driveway.

We had an outstanding experience, from someone coming out within 24 hours to do an in-person estimate to the care in which the crew unloading my house provided was absolutely wonderful. 5/5 stars to United!

The moving team was absolutley phenomenal. They took incredible care of our belongings and went over and above to make sure that the whole process was as stress free as possible.

Every detail, from start to finish, was handled professionally and to our complete satisfaction.

My packing crew was outstanding. The MSS crew that built crates built a excessive box for the antique wine table which folds down--took up incredible amount of space on truck, and in storage. The crew that moved me to storage was a bit off a disaster. I rented a 10x33 storage unit and they "threw things in my storage unit haphazardly. I will have to hire a crew go go in and organize the storage unit so that I can find household good--I was not happy with how the storage move went! The move crew that moved my goods to the San Diego condo were great!

Frank Byrne did a great job setting up expectations The driver did a great job (Paul Egan) I had some closet full of stuff still waiting on fedex to deliver but otherwise - all was goif

So when I signed up with United Van Lines I was very skeptical, as I have had really really bad experiences before from other moving companies. But with United Van Lines, the customer service experience was excellent. My packers came on time and did an excellent job on the packing of my items (no damages) and also my items were delivered before the delivery window date which was great, couldn't be more satisfied. The packers and movers were very friendly and very thorough of the inventory.

The only thing that I didnt like was that I did not get a definite delivery date (to the new place) when they came and picked up from my old place as I was told. Also I eas given the wrong petson to call and asked and he had no idea what I was talking about or that he was supposed to deliver my furniture. I felt like I had to do to much on my end to find out who and when I was getting my stuff delievered than the administration did to inform me correctly.

Top to bottom everyone we dealt with along the process of our move was GREAT! Jason, Theresa, Jack, Walt, Junior, Anthony and Frank - all professional, courteous and efficient!

The price quoted was accurate and fair. Everything intact except for 1 item broken. The laborers on the destination end made the mistake of tracking in mud on the basement carpet, so I had to submit a claim and wait for the carpet to be cleaned before moving furniture on the soiled areas. That held things unpacking on my end. Communication seemed spotty at times--hard to get someone to authorize carpet cleaning. But overall, I was satisfied.

Overall the move went well. We are having some issues with the crating people as a mirror frame was cracked and their initial response to the issue was not good. We are working on restitution and hopefully it will be handled appropriately. My only issue with the move is with the communication of the schedule and the coordination with the third party and the driver and the Suddath coordinator. Everyone was pointing the finger at the other. We would have made different decisions if there had been better communication
