From start to finish it was an excellent experience. my initial contact with the sales agent (Chipman in Oregon)was handled promptly and everything was made clear. Cimber Dalstrom (also at Chipman) was amazing with her handling of logistics--communication was always proactive and I felt as though I was always aware of what I needed to know in a timely manner--very considerate. The transport team was friendly and careful. All of these things were greatly appreciated during the stress of an out-of-state move. This whole experience was definitely old fashioned customer service at its best.

It went exceedingly well. We had excellent contacts at Chipman Relocations & Logistics in Portland, OR with Paul and Judi. A team of packers prepared and boxed our breakables and HV items and we had a very experienced and friendly van driver, Marius, at the delivery end.

Pros: Paul Jelderks and Judi Whiteman at Chipman Relocation did a great job providing accurate information and quality service. Judi has been especially helpful in answering my many move-related questions along the way. Our Driver, James Esparza, was great at providing updates and timeframes while our goods were in transit. Cons: Very few. I think the moving industry in general does this, but the sheer mountain of packing paper used to protect items sometimes seemed excessive. The packers also packed odd things like nearly empty tissue boxes or bags of chips. Also,the packers missed a few drawers and one linen closet. I boxed these myself, and stashed them in my already crowded car.Perhaps having the packers do a quick walk-thru with me prior to leaving would insure that no items were missed. Conclusion: This was my first professional move in years, and I'd rate Chipman as a very good company to work with. I'd recommend Chipman to friends, and would use them again. -Jan Cottrell

Our experience was GREAT! From our initial quote with Debbie from Chipman, to Cimber our move coordinator and Robert our driver, everyone showed care and concern for us and our belongings. The packing and loading crew were great! Unloading was also good.

Couldn't have been better. Donny the lead and driver was competent, professional, and friendly. He made the move as pleasant as possible. The persons he hired to assist were great. Very hard workers!!!

I had to move my ill father in less than 3 weeks from Oregon to California. Debbie came to the house,looked over everything gave me all the information in a binder, that held all my paperwork in one place.she quoted me a price that never changed.she then handed me over to Cimber who took care of me. She also set up for the car to be transported. Allie called Me to set it up. Samuel and his helper came to pack up the house, which was difficult as i was only taking my Dads sentimental items. The car arrived when Allie said it would. And my movers Michael and Jerry called me a couple of times thru out the day to keep me up on traffic and another stop before me that was making them wait to unpack.when they arrived it was 5 days earlier than i expected. And not only were they moving boxes and furniture to where i wanted it all placed. They even unpacked a couple boxes of statue's that i couldn't lift onto the table. Chipman Company was a blessing for me.

After getting over the shock of how much it costs to move from Oregon to Kansas the process was seamless. The two agents I dealt with were exceptional; professional, friendly and on top of things. I didn't need to check in with them, they called me to let me know what was happening and when every step of the way.

Our son was at our Oregon house as the movers packed, and he met them when our things were delivered, so my husband and I weren’t physically there. The move, however, went very smoothly. The movers were courteous and professional.

Paul and Judy in Portland, OR were great to work with! They really wanted to make the move as easy as possible and they went out of their way to help out in any way they could.

From the time I contacted United Van Lines, it has been a professional, courteous and timely experience. My goods are in storage with United and I am optimistic that when they are delivered that there will be no damage. Thus far the experience has been great! The movers themselves were excellent and did a great job.

The move was well organized and went smoothly. Cimber, or contact, was great, very responsive and informative.

United was on time moving us out of our home and everything was in order.

Overall our experience was great. Beginning working with Ryan Smith who helped us in the initial stages and follow up with Cimber Dahstrom were most helpful. The actual mover were terrific and we couldn't say enough positive things about Ignacio Martinez, the driver who oversaw the loading and unloading of the truck. Also his partner Jose Lugo was great. Everyone took great care in preparing our furnishings for the trip and putting things together when unloaded. The truck was on time for delivery. This was a long move from Washington state to southern California and it went very smoothly for us.

This is the first time that I've used professional movers to help me other than twice when I used them just to move my piano. So, I was unused to considering weight as a cost issue, standard sizes for boxes, and not just throwing in quite a lot of things just loose! Since this time I was moving 2800 miles (I've never moved that distance), and over the years have accumulated a lot, I needed help this time. Downsizing my space in half necessitated getting rid of a lot, which was a lot of work for me, and it took me a long time to emotionally let go of many items. But, I did it. And, I appreciated the help the rep and coordinator gave me as well as the driver and crews at both ends. All in all, it went well!

The overall experience went very amoothly. The only complaint would be that the packers emptied all deskdrawers and files into a box which included bank book, passwords, account numbers, etc. Which brought my business to a grinding halt until goods were delivered. Then sorting these papers, made me very angry with those packers! They should have asked me how to empty my desk. I'm still working on straightening things out. And still ANGRY!

Everyone beginning with Debbie, Cimber and the moving personnel at both ends were very professional, accommodating, personable. They were all very patient, and genuine.

It was a pleasure to only have to deal with one person!

The move went great. I felt the movers in Portland may have been a bit inexperienced. But, they did a great job wrapping and moving everything. In Vegas, the movers were amazing. Overall communication with Judy was great.

A lot of boxes still remain unopened!Judi is truely amazing & communicated with us at all times. Only Negative was the scratch on the car hood. We hope United will take care of the problem without inconvenience to us. The packers were polite and professional, though they could have done a better job identifying contents of the boxes. Judy inspite of personal issues was really great. She simply superb. We are currently abroad and will return only in October (may be )

Professionlism of your crews and response to our concerns were great

The overall move was very smooth and very professional. From the start with getting the quote, setting the time for the move, check ins from Cimber on the progress and I liked they way I was kept informed throughout the entire process.

While we were given a range by the office of dates the truck would deliver our stuff, I was given the impression that it might be there on the early side. However, it wasn't until the truck was fully loaded that the driver told us of other loads to pick up and that our stuff wouldn't be delivered until the very end of the range given. I would have no problem with that but it didn't give us a lot of time to plan alternatives to living in a home with no furniture for a week.

Debbie, Cimber were great with communication but our movers were amazing. We had ice and snow and managed to make arrangements to retrieve a smaller truck to get us moved so we could catch our flight out that evening. Shawn or Sean ( don't know spelling) but nevertheless was fantastic!

Overall, an excellent experience from beginning to end. The team at Chipman Relocation in Portland and Armstrong Relocation in Charlotte were very professional and responsive to my questions. The quality of work of the team was outstanding. I've used United Van Lines in the past and will continue to use them for future moving needs. I will also recommend the company to friends.

The United driver and leader of the crew, Tony Foster (Agent 429) was incredible -- and so were his team members -- Tim, Shane & Jeramie at origin, and Jay, David & Marvin at destination. Both groups worked hard, carefully, and efficiently. All of our stuff also arrived early, which was a great gift -- and the truck even showed up on a Sunday to move us in. The team was professional and kind and easy to work with. Thank you.

Every aspect of my experience was perfect.

The move was handled well and all the appointment times were adhered to. Loading and unloading was conducted in a very professional manner. Matt and his crew took good care to ensure all items were handled with care and delivered on-time.

Both the salesman Paul and coordinator Judy were excellent. The move got off to a bad start, driver and work crew were almost 2 hours lare arriving and did not finish loading until 10p.m. Our selucery was pushed back 2 days due to scheduling. Upon arrival we found many of our boxes were repacked or cut down.Driver told us it was for better fit.They left quite,a few items as the hour got so late and we had to move these items our selves. In rhe end are household arrived but I feel next move we will move ourselves.
