I had a lot to do sight unseen. That meant leaving finalization of moving out of my home to friends and the movers. Everything was packed and placed carefully.. It was easy to see that the guys had done this before. Their deftness movement provided smooth fluid unloading. I

Overall,the move went well. I wasn't happy that the driver didn't bring wardrobes. We felt the driver had an attitude, and the delivery would have gone smoother, if he was willing to compromise on minor requests. Our agent had personal issues, which I tried to allow for,but I felt there were unnecessary calls, because he wasn't always able to make changes immediately and did them from memory. Mainly inventory changes. We would have preferred a call back, within a day, and we would have avoided several callbacks for corrections.

Chris, our main contact is great. Overall good experience but not great. Pack/load crew was sent to the wrong address in IL to start. Also, a brand new, expensive piece of furniture was mishandled/not wrapped with care and suffered significant damage to most edges. Repair is pending.

The move out was very smooth. I liked the driver and his two helpers. The move in was also good, but one of the helpers was not as good as the other one. Alan, the driver was great, as was the black guy from Rockford (I don't remember his name).

Their estimate of the cost of my move is what the final bill was!!! They delivered everything on time and everything was in perfect shape !!!

The experience towards the end was good though it took a while to get the right estimate; it resulted in revising the estimate higher twice!

Not having moved in 43 years, I have little to compare this move to. However, I felt very comfortable with the process as it evolved. I was especially impressed with your driver, Melvin. He was very punctual and he and his crews acted very professional in the handling of our household items in the moving process.

Service was really good, the only thing we didn't like too much was the fact that the list of items going to storage and to our home location wasn't clear to the movers. Information wasn't transferred right between the original booking to the final movers.

Our overall experience was fairly good. There was a delay getting our things moved to Arizona. It took ten days for United to get us moved from the Chicago area. This was beyone even the furthest estimated day we were given when we signed our contract. So we weren't satisfied by the length of time for the move. Plus we never heard back from United about our complaints reg3the delay. Not cool!

Everybody associated with the move was excellent with the exception of the people who loaded our household at Winnetka. The lead had a very negative attitude and it spread to his crew. He tried to bully my wife and me by telling us he: 1) Did not have the space to take our goods. 2) He would not take things that were not in boxes such as shovels, lamps bikes etc. After an uncomfortable confrontation and our threat to call the home office he did take most of the household goods. 3) That crew did not take a couple of items in the garage that we pointed out. 4) I carried items out myself when it became obvious that were not going to take it. 5) everyone else was fantastic but that crew and in particular the head of the crew was like a cancer on the company. He badmouthed the company to me and was bitter about being put on this job.

Tony did a great job making the move very easy. On the loading day his crew came in and got everything labeled and moved out with precision. 3 days later his crew was here ti unload our items. It was a rainy day but they came in and got the job done. They put everything where we wanted and made sure we received all of our stuff. They cleaned up and made our day easy.

We used United via Hollander in Chicago. We had one local move in Chicago and one cross country move within 9 months. Both moves went smoothly and as planned.

United employs some remarkable people who supported us throughout the entire process. Chris Kucharski was so helpful right from the start in helping us plan for and then prepare our possessions for the move. He was accurate with his estimates - it was obvious he has had a great deal of experience. He even came by just before our move date to personally box us a large, odd sized family heirloom. Rebecca Styer was our move coordinator and she could not have been more helpful and patient with our many questions. She informed us as to schedules and kept us updated with any changes. Bobby was an extremely hard working driver who closely supervised his crews and helped move our things from our house in Hinsdale to our new home in East Greenwich. Bobby was incredibly careful with our furniture and made sure everything was accounted for.

Only real problem is my boxes were not marked well enough and I had a rather difficult time finding certain items because the boxes were not well marked. Sometimes not even the room they came from was noted. Other than that I had a good experience.

Mike the driver was the highlight of the experience. I was lucky to have someone so experienced and friendly lead the load and unload crews. Jesica at Hollander was also helpful. To get a higher ranking, I'd have changed the estimation process. Scott estimated 5500 lbs and the final weight was 4400 lbs. I received a very modest rebate ($250) but the total cost should have been less than it was. I also cannot find two glass kitchen items that were packed by Nick. They are not high cost items but one had some sentimental value. I'm not worried about it. All-in-all, a very successful move in terms of execution. Pricing was wonky.

All is well in the end Move out could have been better in the end I would do it again Move In was harried as expected, but in the end only one sand dollar was compromised. The move out, movers where outstanding they get an A +++ The move in was professional, clean, and get an A+. The communication could have been better, but in the end GREAT MOVE, will use again, if I have to leave Florida.

Let's start with Frank. Frank was very helpful and understanding. He answered all my questions and made positive suggestions. I called him at the craziest times and he'd answer, even though he was going through a difficult time. Next your wrappers in Chicago came in and did a great job. Everything they wrapped worked out well. The next day your packers came and listened to my requests and explained what was going on. They packed everything I requested and didn't damage anything. As the wrappers where the packers were very professional. Last but not least, Justin the driver was great. He contacted me to make sure I was ready. He and Harold did a fantastic job of off loading all the items and assembling them. They didn't damage anything and were a pleasure to work with. Very professional. Thanks for the great service.

The overall move experience was good. There was almost no damage to my property and, with one exception, everyone I have dealt with was polite, efficient and helpful. I would certainly recommend Hollander to anyone else.

From the first person that showed up to give us an estimate (Mary) to the hard working men who loaded the truck (and even offered to help a neighbor carry in her groceries!) to our move coordinator (Darlene) to our delivery driver (Dean), we were kept informed and our wishes accommodated all along the way. From my first call to have an estimater appointment, my experiance was awesime. My estimator was George and immefuately he made me comfortable. George was professional and thorough and answered all my questions and concerns. Jessica was my moving coordinator and she was great. Jessica assured me everything will go smooth with no stress. My movers, Corey and Niko arrived early and assessed their strategy. They both were awesome. My delivery was as promised with no issues. 5? to Cory and Niko. My whole experience in moving out of state truly unstressful.

If I had to rate United on JUST the move of our household items, everyone would get 5 stars. The driver, Kyle, and Ken's team of loaders (from Kalamazoo) were great. James' team from Salem who came to unload us were are fantastic. All the guys were careful with our stuff, and very professional. Nothing was broken at all, but Kyle's truck leaked and he immediately pointed out the damaged boxes. The companies that moved our Camry cross-country, on the other had, were not nearly as professional and our car was damaged. Since the car was filthy when it arrived in Oregon, I didn't notice the damage on the roof where the deck dented it in several places. After washing the car right after it was dropped off, we saw the damage and immediately reported it. Alas. Despite photo evidence of no prior damage on the roof, our claim was denied, because we couldn't see the damage at delivery. Mind you, the car had to be clean at pick-up so the transport guys could assess all scratches and dings.

I am grateful that all of my things arrived more or less safely, with a few exceptions. Though the workers on both the load in Chicago and unload in Philadelphia were proficient, there was much more stress on the Chicago end because the lead mover started off with a "can't do" attitude and kept telling me he didn't think some things would fit into the 4 containers specified even though that was the estimate I received. In the end he managed to shove it into 3 containers! And this was to the detriment of some boxes which arrived somewhat mangled and smooshed. Curious as to whether the lead gets some sort of kickback for using less space than the estimate. The whole thing could have been much less stressful if he didn't keep putting the pressure on me--the estimator should have been the one accountable if there was an issue, not me, as he saw everything that was to be loaded. By contrast, the Philadelphia movers were professional and efficient.

I am 80 years old and have moved numerous times in my life, but what sets up to be a horrible experience, went more smoothly then my wife and I could have imagined. From the team arriving and introducing themselves, to us hugging them at the conclusion, it was far beyond our wildest expectations.

Both Tony and Bobby were with us moving out and in to the new place. We have never seen anyone work harder and were very professional. The other men that helped on the different days were also excellent. We were most impressed at how quickly and carefully they moved some of our bigger pieces.

This was a very quick move and things were very hectic. The crew was able to adjust their schedule to accommodate me ans atill deliver on time. The crew was also very helpful with both packing bulky items and later unpacking them at the destination. Thank you.

Overall United van lines did an excellent job. The only problem was in uncrating my glass top tables and putting together the smaller glass top tables. The head mover who unloaded my furniture was really excellent but did not want to touch glass; unfortunately the special uncrating service had not been contacted before my move and it was the Holidays so I had to wait a good number of days for him to come. The young man who came was very nice but did have some difficulties which resulted in chipping of one glass table (cannot be seen). He did not want to put together the remaining small glass table that was not specified in his contract. My son, with some difficulty, was able to do this when he visited a couple of weeks later.

The driver, Dennis, was excellent. His crew in Chicago and Phoenix were also excellent. Very careful with loading and unloading and extremely efficient.

The coordination between the crew in Tacoma and the United staff in Chicago was not totally satisfactory. The delivery was delayed by three days and when our goods were delivered, it was not an acceptable delivery. We have to complain to get it done right.

Overall was good, with exception of post move realization that boxes are mislabeled with content description making it difficult to find things. Also, very disheartened to find some old heirloom antiques were broken due to inadequate to zero packing fill used.

We moved from downtown Chicago (60602) to rural Ohio (45385), on May & 15. Chris Kucharski and Caryn Harder were most helpful at the front end. Jack was in charge of the crew at both ends and did a FANTASTIC job with the actual move out and move in. Everything we moved was handled with the utmost care and consideration. There was no damage to any item and there were no issues whatsoever. The entire process was efficient, expertly executed, and professional from start to finish. A rare but wonderful experience to have such terrific customer service.

The driver who loaded us up was absolutely rude and made us feel like he didn't want to be there. The driver and men that unloaded us were amazing. Such a different experience. The guys that unloaded us were helpful, polite,friendly and very professional. I can't say that about the men who loaded us up except the man who was hispanic and the man who labeled every. Our consultant from Hollander, Chris Kucharski, was superior and very helpful. The driver, Bruce was also excellent and the teams he had loading were great. I have no complaints.

It went smoothly and as expected. I've used United for other moves and was pleasantly surprised by how easy technology made it this time. The only hang up was from a third party vendor that was to crate marble and stained glass, but that was quickly solved.

Everyone involved in our move to Florida were very professional and helpful. All our questions were answered quickly and several times put our mind at ease at an extremely stressful time.

Driver Tony Gardener out of Nashville area was EXCELLENT! He did a great job at seeing to each crew (packing up and moving in locations) did an excellent job. Workers were patient and helpful (spreading rugs, getting it just right) and we were very pleased.

The move went great. The crews were very professional and did a great job. It was a inter-state move. This only issues I had was that after they picked up my items, it took 4 days before I could get an ETA on my destination. This was frustrating, but it all worked up perfectly. (One small item had damage, but everything else arrived in perfect condition.)

The quote was competitive. Issues we had. Agreed pick up was 10-12-16 with delivery no later than 10-25-16. We got a call a couple days before asking if they could pick up on 10-13-16 instead since a driver was available. This was day of closing so we could not accept. Our furniture was picked up 10-12-16 and placed in storage until another driver was able to deliver to AZ. We didn't like our belongings being loaded and unloaded twice. The delivery was late by 2 days. We were never told why. We processed a late claim and received $200.00 credit (per contract $100 per day). The personnel that picked up on 10-12-16 and delivered on 10-27-16 (Brian, Junior and James) were extremely pleasant. The drivers and movers were excellent and based on this would recommend you. There were no additional or hidden charges tacked on to our agreed upon price. This was important since we heard stories on the Internet regarding some companies doing this. Adrian Ross was very helpful.

We were not certain when our delivery date would be until the driver showed up at our house to load. It would have been nice to know this a few days in advance.

Rick Lopez, the truck driver was truly awesome!!! There was a hurricane that got in the way but Rick kept in touch with me and kept himself and my stuff safe and sound! He was great!

Pawel was excellent. Not very prompt a great workout though, professional, courteous and very efficient. We would use him again and recommend him specifically.

My experience both on the loading and the unloading side was perfect, and went without a hitch.

Told items would be loaded directly into containers. Infact were loaded in to truck transported to warehouse then put into containers. Still missing several items Some glasses, a dart board

The move was handled quite well. It was a local move in that the crew that loaded the truck was the same that unloaded. The only criticism was that one would unwrap an item at the truck then put it on a two wheeler to move it to the house.

The office staff provided very professional communication. And although the actual move went smoothly, there were some issues with timing and it seemed like the crew was a last minute organization. Nothing was broken and nothing was lost. The movers worked without any breaks and worked tirelessly. Adrienne always answered my calls and really tried to accommodate me as did Karen.
