The thought of moving 700 miles away was very daunting for us, but once we decided to use United Van Lines through JH Bennett in Erie, PA the whole process was much better than we anticipated. They were amazing to deal with and helped us every step of the way.

Joseph was awesome, professional accessible etc..! My mover on both ends, his name escapes me, was above and beyond great, even when left without a third person to assist when loading truck!! Vicki was not pleasant to deal with.

It was important to me that the moving company did not use contractors. United uses employees only. This was such a plus as employees are professional as they want to stay employed. My experience with contractors has been unacceptable. I have moved 4 time in 5 years. I will only use United in future moves

Everyone from the estimator to the packers loaders I loafers and especially the driver made the whole move extremely stress free. We were extremely pleased with everyone.

The move was pretty painless. Movers on both ends were very good. They were quick and careful moving my stuff in and out. The only thing I would say could improve was delivery time, but it was over the Thanksgiving Holidays so it's understandable it took 2 weeks to ship down.

Overall, the move went smoothly.

Was very uneasy about entrusting my things to strangers but everyone was courteous and reassuring. Things arrived on time as promised. Packing and unpacking personnel were kind and courteous. Overall good experience

Overall, we had an extremely positive moving experience. The first positive experience came with Joe, from Erie. Several people told us that they could not move us. Joe told us that his organization could move us and that the excuses previously given by other people were not an option. He told us that we were within the legal timeline of moving. Joe did arrange for a suitable delivery date within his legal time frame. Joe kept in frequent communication with us, updating us on the moving date and the people packing and loading our belongings. The movers, Ace and his crew, who packed and loaded the van were amazing. They were polite, respectful, and extremely efficient. I did not hear one negative word nor swear word the entire time the gentlemen were working. Incredible

It was a very stressful day, but the movers made everything happen in a good way.

Moving is a tough endeavor, and United Van Lines made it a lot easier for me because you were trustworthy in a field which can be deceptive.

I was given a binding estimate which turned out to be too low.I was given hassle about the price.They sent two people to load instead of three or four and they couldn’t finish loading and had to postpone until next day which caused problems for me.I did not expect that from J H Bennett.Delivery of furniture was fine.

Very efficient and timely

The mover workers were on time and very curtious. They did all that we asked.

All members of the team were very polite and helpful. Joe was always available to take my calls and answer my questions.

I think I was overcharged for the move. The quote was for about 6500 pds but in the end it was only 4000 pds. The general mgr was very rude.

My overall move experience was acceptable. My move coordinators kept me informed and answered my many questions adequately.

My washing machine was damaged during the move. I filed a claim, was compensated for the damages and the claim has been closed. Numerous other items sustained minor damage but, because they were still usable as is, were not included in the claim. The sticker inventory system that was used to keep track of our belongings was thorough and I’m confident that nothing was lost or misplaced. Overall I’m satisfied with the company and the move. I would not be afraid to use United again.

The level of communication at the beginning of the process (after the assessment but before the pack day) was poor.

The entire process from info & scheduling to the moving days was the best ever that I have experienced. Very organized & the men were very considerate & helpful .

This was an excellent move. All the people involved did an expert job. They were all extremely polite, knowledgeable about how to do their job, honest and friendly. I would definitely recommend each and everyone of them individually and together as a team.

Our particular move ended up going to storage instead of the destination house. However we found that JH Benet and united handled the move with the utmost professionalism. The most credit should be given to Ellis, he did every aspect of his job perfectly whether it was loading, unloading, handling the changes we had to make, or just communicating the aspects of each part to us. Him and his team were careful and efficient movers, especially at the destination of our move when it was Ellis and his nephew. They finished up the job of putting our stuff in the storage unit quickly, and they were kind and considerate to us about the trouble we were having with the house we tried to rent. If this gets back to them I would like them to know we ended up getting a better house a week later.

Showed up on time but lost a tv 2 mattresses and a lawn mower

We are so happy we chose jr bennet and united van lines to move. In the past we always moved ourselves. This time we decided to pamper oursrlves and it wss so worth. I would havebeen in tears if we had moved ourselves. The office people, joe and vicki were great organizers and communicators. Our Pennsylvania team was awesome and energetic. Good communication; courteous employees; careful packing of items; on-time delivery

Everything was easy and well explained aside from the delivery of the furniture. I think it was a lack of communication on the part of JH Bennett. I was told we had a 3-5 day spread and would most likely receive my belongings on a certain day. This changed drastically and no one made this apparent or communicated the change. The delivery was outside of the spread by 2 days, also. It was just inconvenient to not receive our belongings for a week. The movers did great and were very pleasant to work with.

From the beginning of move to delivery of my stuff, I was being updated and always showed eagerness to help my move smooth. This is one of the best movers and packers I worked with.

We were looking at a "pod" to move a small amount of furniture to our winter home. The overall cost of shipping with United was only slightly more than a self-move and the on-site pick up and delivery made using United a "no brainer." The move was handled well from initial negotiations to delivery 2,000 miles away.

Our first time Moving long distance. we couldn't have picked nicer people to work with. Elaine, Joe and the moving crew did an amazing job. very pleased with United, and J.H. Bennett. Highly recommend them for your moving job.

We had a very positive experience with your company! Tom Bramwell answered all my questions and returned my emails promptly! Our driver, Joe Lopez, was incredible! He is so hard working and cheerful, all at the same time! When he discovered the broken table leg, he told me immediately, and took a picture to send to the office. I couldn't find a mirror, and he opened boxes until he found it! He was respectful of our house and left no scratches on the walls. He was on time and took no breaks. All of our things were packed safely, and the furniture was wrapped carefully. Moving is so stressful, but all the people we worked with made the move seem easy! Tom Bramwell said you would exceed my expectations, and you did! Thank you for making our move so easy!!!!

Tom from JH Bennett was extremely helpful during the entire process, from quoting me in my house, to coordinating drop off the day prior when our closing date was uncertain. The movers, Ellis and another person, whose name I cannot remember, were very efficient, friendly and professional.

Everyone that we worked with was very professional. Joe started the process in Erie, PA. A woman named Amanda (I believe from Erie, PA) kept in touch with us all throughout the process from packing the van to unpacking the van. The driver, Tommy, from Baden PA was very efficient and professional.

Good move except for the amount of time my furniture was on a truck which took almost one week to get to our destination. Moved many times and that was the longest amount of time the movers ever took.

Everything was handled in a way that removed stess

Joe Nason promised to get us boxes when he came to the house to make the move estimate. That promise was never fulfilled though I called to request them. The delivery date also got changed and only remained within the 5-7 days originally promised after I complained rather vigorously. The movers themselves were excellent and took great care with our possessions.

The move was prompt and the staff attentive to questions and details as the day approached. Overall, the results exceeded my expectations on two fronts -- auto carrier service and the move itself. Deadlines wee more than met.

Excellent, caring service from start to finish, beginning with Joe Nason in Erie. Amanda was great on communication. The crew was both helpful and VERY careful of our belongings.

When packing please put related items in same box example cordless phone and base I have found the base but not the base. Also kitchen knives and the block they were in different boxes and marked kitchen and bedroom. Some items are also missing .

Tom Bramwell was so helpful, and Elli and Zach were a delight to work. My move was great, and heard from a couple of friends that their move was "the move from hell". Think they found their mover on the Internet.

The driver was very efficient and knew actually what he was doing.

We were not very impressed with the crew that moved us from NC to Erie. The Erie crew that showed up to help unpack, though, was awesome!

From the first visit to the delivery of my furniture all was excellent service.

pick up & pack people were great as were the delivery people. lost one box and we were charged $580.00 for 33 days, which we found to be TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
