Presented with Gene Anderson – United Excellence Award
Nov 10, 2015 – Chipman Relocation & Logistics Chairman of the Board John Chipman, Sr and CEO Tom Chipman received the Gene Anderson/United Excellence award, which recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the United Van Lines system. The award is named in honor of the late Gene Anderson of Lubbock, Texas, a long-time United Van Lines Board member and the corporation’s treasurer at the time of his death in 1985.
The selection of John and Tom was announced by United Van Lines CEO Jim Powers at the van line’s recent convention held in Scottsdale, Arizona. In revealing the winners of this prestigious honor, Powers said, “Both John and Tom bring something unique to their family-owned agency and their talents complement each other. John is extraordinarily gifted at nurturing relationships with employees and customers, while Tom is able to manage the details of hiring top drivers, resolving claims issues and watching over the company’s financial health.”
John and Tom have worked side by side for nearly five decades. Under their leadership, the family business has continued to experience exponential growth culminating to this year when they fulfilled a family dream of having agencies up and down the Interstate 5 corridor on the West Coast.
