Cynthia Kapellusch of Planes Moving & Storage Named United Van Lines Logistics Van Operator of the Year

CINCINNATI (March 14, 2025) — Cynthia Kapellusch of Planes Moving & Storage, Inc. out of Cincinnati was named this year’s United Van Lines Van Operator of the Year in the Logistics category. The award honors Kapellusch’s exceptional performance in customer service and safety. She was recognized at the Company’s recent award ceremony in St. Louis. 

Kapellusch was introduced into the trucking industry 34 years ago by her husband, Ronald Kapellusch. What began as a short over-the-road trip with him quickly turned into a full-time career. “In the beginning there weren’t many women drivers, and it was hard,” Kapellusch said. “Over the years, the industry has really evolved in a positive way.”

There are more than 3,900 driving professionals in the United Van Lines network, and Kappellusch was one of the three winners this year. The Van Operator of the Year began in the late 1970s to recognize the people who sacrifice so much for a life on the road and who help other families through one of the most stressful times in their lives.
