2016 Gene Anderson Award

Schroeder Moving Systems President John Schroeder received the Gene Anderson/United Excellence award, which recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the United Van Lines system. The award is named in honor of the late Gene Anderson of Lubbock, Texas, a long-time United Van Lines Board member and the corporation’s treasurer at the time of his death in 1985.
The award was presented by United Van Lines Chairman Dan McCollister and CEO Jim Powers at the van line’s recent convention held in Washington, D.C.
“John’s belief in delivering high-quality customer service in a safe, efficient and punctual manner is apparent throughout the Schroeder organization, and it is thanks, in large part, to his leadership,” Powers said.
Schroeder’s father started Schroeder Moving Systems in 1947 and involved his son in the moving industry at a very young age. Throughout the years, Schroeder saw his roles change as well as the company. It grew from a home-based business to now being one of the biggest full-service moving companies in Wisconsin. The company has three locations, including its headquarters in Appleton, Wisconsin, and employs more than 100 people.
