Laura Wilson of Lawrence Transportation Systems Named Van Operator of the Year
Staunton, VA – (March 14, 2023) – Laura Wilson of Lawrence Transportation Systems out of Staunton, Virginia, was awarded United Van Lines Van Operator of the Year for the Household Goods East region. The award recognizes Wilson’s excellent performance in the areas of customer service and safety. United Van Line’s President and CEO Jason Mills alongside Chairman of the Board Charles W. McDaniel presented the award at the Company’s recent Learning Conference held in St. Louis.
Wilson found her love for the trucking industry through her husband, Ronald. In her pursuit to find a career change, Laura looked to her husband for inspiration. Ronald has been active in the moving industry for over 20 years and dreamed of owning his own truck to take business to the next level. With his constant traveling, Wilson said to her husband “Why don’t I drive you to work every day?” The wife and husband duo have worked and traveled through 48 states for the last nine years together.
“This accomplishment leaves me speechless as it’s a prestigious award,” Wilson said. “I didn’t seek this out but making the customers happy and the love for seeing the country and its sights bring me true joy.”
