Dec 3, 2013 – ST. LOUIS – Perry J. Hand of Golden Eagle Moving Services, Inc., Upland, Calif., was awarded Van Operator of the Year for United Van Lines’ continental fleet. This award recognizes Hand’s outstanding performance in the areas of customer service and safety. United Van Lines Chairman Dan McCollister and CEO Rich McClure presented the award to Hand at the company’s recent convention in Boca Raton, Fla.
During the 12-month qualifying period, Hand drove more than 58-thousand miles, maintained an impressive claims rating and had a perfect safety rating. He also had an outstanding customer service rating. Hand lives in Crestline, Calif., and has driven for Golden Eagle Moving Services for two years, but has been in the industry for 30 years. He says that the best part of his job is interacting with customers and putting smiles on their faces.
