Steven Lohman of Planes Moving & Storage Named Van Operator of the Year
CINCINNATI – (March 11, 2024) – Steven Lohman of Planes Moving & Storage out of Cincinnati, Ohio was awarded United Van Lines Van Operator of the Year for the Household Goods East region. The award recognizes Lohman’s excellent performance in the areas of customer service and safety. The Company honored Lohman at its recent award ceremony.
Starting in the business at the young age of 13, Lohman’s career began in the warehouse, where he quicky learned the ins-and-outs of the industry. Eager and determined at 18, he received his CDL to begin driving tractor trailers. Over the last 35 years Lohman’s has driven more than two million miles.
When asked about the award, Lohman shared, “I think Planes deserves this just as much as I do. We are a team and I couldn’t have done this without them.”

There are more than 3,900 driving professionals in the United Van Lines network, and Lohman was one of the three winners this year. The Van Operator of the Year began in the late 1970s to recognize the men and women who sacrifice so much for a life on the road and who help other families through one of the most stressful times in their lives.
